We are now working with a highly respected local Chef "Elizabeth Guy" and are able to offer a far greater range of quality salads, side dishes and puddings to accompany your hog roast or spit roast. Dependant on your event we will either bring these along with the meat or cook / prepare them whilst the meat cooks.
BASE SALAD: Mixed green leaves - a combination of different salad and herb leaves lightly dressed with vinaigrette
New potatoes - warm new potatoes with butter and sea salt.
New potato salad - cold new potatoes with herbs in a mayonnaise sauce.
Jewel salad - a colorful combination of cherry tomatoes, red and yellow peppers, cucumber & green grapes with a light olive oil, lemon & wholegrain mustard dressing.
Egg mayonnaise - local farmhouse free range eggs with a mayonnaise based sauce.
Coleslaw - carrots, onion & white cabbage in a mayonnaise sauce.
Spicy couscous - a delicious salad with onions, fresh ginger & chilli, pinenuts, apricots, sultanas & fresh coriander.
Waldorf - a crunchy combination of red apples, celery & walnuts in a mayonnaise sauce.
Vine tomato - ripe vine tomatoes, red onion & fresh basil with a homemade vinaigrette.
Rice - red and yellow peppers, sweetcorn & garden peas with basmati rice.
Quinoa & orange - similar to the couscous but with quinoa grains, orange juice and fresh herbs.
Roasted vegetable - either warm/cold. Butternut squash, sweet potatoes, peppers, courgettes and red onions slowly roasted with fresh herbs , garlic and olive oil.
Pasta - different pasta shapes with roasted peppers & red onions, sweetcorn & cherry tomatoes with a delicious dressing.
Ratatouille - peppers, courgette, onions, tomatoes & herbs.
Apple pie - a classic British pudding with buttery pastry and bramley apples
Bakewell tart - buttery pastry with raspberry jam and a light yet rich almond sponge
Tangy lemon tart - a very popular pud made with lemons, eggs and cream in a pastry case.
Lemon meringue pie - tangy lemon base with a fluffy meringue topping.
Chocolate meringue gateau - meringue layered with a rich Belgian chocolate cream.
Raspberry Sherry trifle - a classic pudding made with homemade fatless sponge, sherry, raspberries, custard & cream. Sprinkled with toasted almonds.
Chocolate truffle torte - a rich chocolate truffle flavoured with Amaretto liqueur and topped with Amoretti biscuits.
